The first human residents of what is now Ohio - who were they? Where and when did they live? What were their societies like? For our September Cleveland chapter meeting, we will be joined by Ann Dewald, director of Northeast Ohio’s Indian Museum. Ann will be giving a talk titled “Early Indians of Ohio,” which will feature images and artifacts along with a detailed description of what is known about Ohio’s first inhabitants. As our knowledge of history is not always “written in stone,” Ann will point out some recent findings that cast doubt on some long-held assumptions about the earliest Ohioans. The September meeting will be held at Mayfield Library (500 S.O.M. Center Rd., Mayfield Village) on Wed., Sept. 11, 7 p.m. Don’t miss this one!
