September 5, 2008
The Center for Inquiry and the Humanists of Florida Association are pleased to announced that they have entered into a cooperative agreement through which they will collaborate on projects of common interest. The agreement is effective as of August 31, 2008. HFA President Jerry Lieberman expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement and predicted that "cooperation between HFA and CFI will reinvigorate the cause of humanism in Florida — and beyond." Ronald A. Lindsay, Chief Executive Officer for CFI, similarly stated that he is pleased with the agreement. "HFA is a great organization, and both CFI and HFA have substantially similar objectives. We can achieve much by working to together."
CFI and HFA will review their working arrangement at the end of one year, to determine whether further cooperative efforts should be undertaken.
