He has published more than fifty scholarly articles in the areas of sociology, demography, politics, philanthropy, and policy research.

Barry Kosmin is a welcome addition to CFI’s board of directors. The entire management committee is looking forward to working with him,” said Ronald A. Lindsay, president and CEO of the Center for Inquiry. “His breadth of expertise in secularism and religion, public policy, and political sociology will be a great asset for our mission and work.”

Kosmin received his bachelor of arts and PhD from the University of London and his master of arts from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He has received numerous honors and awards, including an invitation to deliver the 2005 Sherman Lectures at the University of Manchester, UK.
