At noon on September 26 near City Hall, thousands of New Yorkers will stand up for equality by marching across the Brooklyn Bridge in 7th NYC Wedding March. Come join the Center for Inquiry in New York City -- your local voice for reason, science, and secular values -- as we sponsor and walk in this important event.

The march, rally and community festival is organized by Marriage Equality New York (MENY) to raise awareness about the 1,324 rights denied to same-sex couples and their families because of a lack of marriage equality – rights only bestowed by civil marriage that cannot be replicated by civil unions or domestic partnerships. The event is a collaboration of over 30 organizations and individuals like Senator Kirstin Gillibrand and Speaker Christine Quinn. It is part of a series of marriage equality marches occuring in New York (NYC, Rochester, Albany) and California (San Francisco).

Join us in the march today and support equality for your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and yourself.
