Washington Square Park

There are secular humanists and atheists among us who still like to celebrate the secular traditions of Christmas. We like decorating a tree, baking cookies, and listening to Christmas music. If I've just described you, then join us for some carolling in Washington Square Park! We'll be accepting donations from passersby that will go straight to Hurricane Sandy relief in New York. So let's show New Yorkers that atheists can be fun and good people!

You don't need to be a professional singer to join us. We're not necessarily trying to sound very good. We're just going to have fun with it.

Below is a list of songs we will be singing, and links to videos with lyrics. Take a listen to them and make sure you know how they go PRIOR to joining us at the park. Lyrics will be printed for you to follow along with while we sing, but you should have a good idea of how the music sounds.

Deck the Halls
God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen
Jingle Bells
Jolly Old St Nicholas
Joy to the World
O Come All Ye Faithful
O Holy Night
Silent Night
Twelve Days of Christmas

Dress warmly! And meet inside the park by the arch.

***If it rains we will be postponing the caroling 'til Tuesday evening 12/18, 6-8pm.***
