Landmark Sunshine Cinema - 143 East Houston St, Manhattan

Die hard cinephiles, academic film enthusiasts, and casual movie goers looking to expand their movie going experience welcome. Cerebral Cinema is a group geared towards getting together to watch a variety of a eclectic cinema ranging from highbrow indie fare to genre blockbusters. Following each theatrical outing, our group will congregate to discuss the film over food or drinks in a casual laid-back environment. Discussion topics will center around the film's plot and themes, the past filmography of the cast and crew, and the film at hand's cultural relevance.

Often described as John Huston's most atmospheric film, My Darling Clementine is a visually poetic, wonderfully laconic take on the classic western that pits Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and Clementine Carter (Henry Fonda, Victor Mature and Cathy Downs respectively) in this genre classic.

We shall meet at about 9:10 to purchase tickets and get acquainted prior to a 9:30 screening. Drinks and discussion may follow across the street at Houston Hall. Be there or be quadrilateral.
