Cerebral Cinema - Rocky Horror Picture Show (Midnight Screening!)
Die hard cinephiles, academic film enthusiasts, and casual movie goers looking to expand their movie going experience welcome. Cerebral Cinema is a group geared towards getting together to watch a variety of a eclectic cinema ranging from highbrow indie fare to genre blockbusters. Following each theatrical outing, our group will congregate to discuss the film over food or drinks in a casual laid-back environment. Discussion topics will center around the film's plot and themes, the past filmography of the cast and crew, and the film at hand's cultural relevance. Let's get acquainted and talk cinema.
When the newly engaged Brad and Janet get a flat tire, they seek refuge at the foreboding Frankenstein Place wherein they befriend a motley crew of morbid partygoers led by Transylvanian transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter (played to perfection by the illustrious Mr. Tim Curry). “Dammit Janet!” We'll meet at the theater around 11:30 prior to a midnight screening and congregate after, around 2AM, for greasy diner food at Moonstruck. Costuming is highly encouraged. If anyone knows where i can find 8 inch heels in a men's size 11 1/2 drop me a line.
Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) is rated and directed by Jim Sharman. The film stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Richard O'Brien and Meat Loaf.
