Hey Gang! Here is another opportunity to meet with a bunch of free thinkers to sample some adult beverages. Our introductory outing was much fun — Coney Island will never be the same. This time, we will be exploring the glorious magnificence that is Radegast Hall & Biergarten. Not going to throw around terms like “authentic” or “traditional” as one could easily argue the geographical and cultural requirements. However, one thing is for sure: This place is amazing!
Radegast boasts a wonderful selection of German brews, as well as incredible German fare.
We will plop down at one of the long communal tables, order liters and
liters of golden, red, or dünkel nectar, and run back and forth to the
grill. Their brats are sooooo good — The best of the wurst (see what I
did there?), piled high with homemade sauerkraut!!! I’m salivating just
thinking about it. For the vegetarians and vegans, there is a
disturbingly good grilled portabello sandwich on the menu, as well as
other selections. By the way, the food is as delicious as the beer
selection, so it is still a worth while outing for the non-drinkers
This is a rain or shine affair — Despite the name, the “Garten” is completely enclosed and air-conditioned. No excuses! What better way to enjoy some amazing food and drink. So, join us. Oh, one more thing: There’s live music every night, so don’t be surprised if your co-hosts get up and dance.
