Join celebrated journalist Chris Mooney and scholar Matthew C. Nisbet for a talk on Framing Science , part of Mooney and Nisbet's Speaking Science 2.0 road show. Mooney is a columnist for Skeptical Inquirer magazine and the author of two books, the best-selling The Republican War on Science and the recently published Storm World . He is also the Washington correspondent for Seed magazine.  Nisbet, a professor in the School of Communication at American University, is a widely published expert on scientific and environmental controversies, examining the interactions between strategists, journalists, and various segments of the public.  No subject could be more important in this election year, when the current administration's rejection of scientific evidence is expected to be a major political issue.

After the presentation, a reception for Mooney and Nisbet will be held on the balcony of the General Society.
