The Center for Inquiry in New York City recently hosted   Lionel Tiger , Charles Darwin Professor of Anthropology at Rutgers University and co-author of the recent     God’s Brain   —a book that attempts to answer such questions as: What is the purpose of religion? How did it arise? What is its source? Why does every known culture have some form of it? After his lecture, Tiger sat down for a conversation with   Massimo Pigliucci , Chair of the Philosophy Department at City University of New York (CUNY) at Lehman College. A question-and-answer session with the audience followed.
