Don’t Let Them Define You!
February 5, 2013
Are you merely a "religious none", or are your beliefs and non-beliefs a little more complex than simply being labeled a "none"? In the social sciences, research on atheism and non-belief is parading its way into the mainstream. Chances are you have come across a magazine article or news broadcast talking about the "religious nones" within the past year.
Thankfully, nestled in a notch on the Bible-belt of the South and hailing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, comes Professor and international researcher Christopher F. Silver. Chris is also the faculty advisor for our CFI on Campus affiliated UTC Secular Student Alliance. Along with his student / Project Manager, me, Tommy Coleman, we think non-believers' deserve more than a "none" category. So if you are a non-believer of any age, shape, color, type, and of any genetic configuration possible, you have an opportunity to define yourself. Please take the time to complete and share our survey at atheismresearch.com. Define yourself for the social sciences; don't let them define you!
