Jessica Ahlquist Won!
January 12, 2012
In a win for church and state separation, and after a long and stressful fight, Jessica Ahlquist has won her lawsuit to have the prayer banner removed from her public school.
You’ve probably heard about it already, so I won’t restate what everyone else has said, but we are very happy to have Jessica as a volunteer and appreciate all of the hard work that she and her family have done in the name of our country’s constitution. This is definitely a win for the first amendment!
Hemant Mehta’s article on the Friendly Atheist has a great description of the lawsuit and important details here.
Thank you to everyone involved and to all of Jessica’s supporters!
