Music Monday: Bring Me the Horizon - “Shadow Moses”

It may come as no surprise that I receive newsletters and emails from the record labels of some of my favorite bands. This serves a few purposes. The first is that I get up-to-date information about tours and album releases. A second purpose is that these emails are often ways to discover new music. Today I receive an announcement from Epitaph Records (Every Time I Die, Bad Religion, Frank Turner) alerting me to a new single by Bring Me The Horizon called “Shadow Moses.”* Moses is a biblical name; I was intrigued.
The song, from the band’s 2013 record Sempiternal, lyrically explores the impending nothingness after death, and musically rips your face off. Upon further exploration I found that the lead singer, Oliver Sykes, is an affirmed atheist and operates a clothing company called Drop Dead Clothing. Heh, the more you know! Enjoy.
