Music Monday: Desaparecidos - “Man and Wife, the Latter (Damaged Goods)”

I feel like it is no stetch of the imagination that most atheists often find themselve in isolation many times as it relates to theological views. I know this was certainly the case for me 10 years ago when today’s Music Monday song came out.
The song, “Man and Wife, the Latter (Damaged Goods),” was featured on the 2002 album Read Music/Speak Spanish and was the complement to “Man and Wife, the Former (Financial Planning).” This was/is my favorite album of all time and subsequently shot Desaparecidos to the top of my favorite artists list. Unfortunately, the band broke up indefinitely and stopped making music, until last week! They are back and awesome as ever with their first single “MariKKKopa.”
But back to feeling isolated. I always have found solace in the lyrics of artists and band that questioned religion, no matter how small or insignificant the lyric was. Within “Man and Wife, the Latter” there is one such line. I hope you enjoy the song.
