Music Monday: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - “Same Love”

December 10, 2012

I stumbled on today’s Music Monday artist after hearing a song about “thrifting” on the radio. Who isn’t a fan of hitting up their local thrift store for hidden treasures? Anyway, using a nifty little phone app I found that the artist was a duo composed of rapper, Macklemore, and his producer, Ryan Lewis. Anyway, I decided that I would look into the artist and found that the second single from their most recent album was Music Monday worthy. Yay!

The song is called “Same Love” and explores homosexuality and the biblical origins of homophobia. I also think that the video is great. Enjoy!

As always, if you get a chance, send your suggestions for future Music Mondays to me at chashman@centerforinquiry.net, leave a comment below, or @tweet us at @CFIOnCampus. Your suggestions, along with future and past songs, may end up in the official Course of Reason Music Monday Grooveshark playlist or Spofity playlist that anyone can listen to.
