We asked Chris Mooney to come talk to the 2012 Student Leadership Conference attendees about his most recent book on the science of political belief, The Republican Brain, and what research suggests the implications are for engaging with people who don’t hold a similar beliefs about politics and science. Cody Hashman is a member of student outreach at the Center for Inquiry. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, with a degree in Psychology, where he was the co-founder and president of the UNI Freethinkers and Inquirers. He is now pursuing a PhD in Cognitive Psychology at SUNY Buffalo where he is involved with the UB Freethinkers.
