James "The Amazing" Randi has an international reputation as a magician, escape artist, and one of the world's foremost investigators of paranormal and pseudoscientific claims. Mr. Randi was a frequent guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and has appeared numerous times on CNN, Fox News, and Larry King Live, as well as many other television shows and news channels. He is the author of numerous books, including The Truth about Uri Geller, The Faith Healers, Flim-Flam!, and An Encyclopedia of Claims, Frauds, and Hoaxes of the Occult and Supernatural.

In his lecture, Randi exposes popularly accepted fakery by discussing with his audience everything from UFOs to the Bermuda Triangle.

This lecture will include special introductory remarks by famed author, investigator, and television personality Joe Nickell.

A wine and cheese reception will be held from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. You will have an opportunity to meet Ronald A. Lindsay, the new Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Inquiry.
