Princehouse of Case Western Reserve University speaking on, "Designed For
Extinction: What the Poor Design of Organisms Tells Us about the Mind of the
Creator." The meeting will be held at the Independence Library on
Wed., Feb. 11, 7-8:45 p.m. Beverages and a Darwin birthday cake will be

Is everything about a human body seemingly intelligently designed? Or is Darwin's theory of evolution more relevant in explaining how some aspects of our bodies and other living organisms work well while others do not. In this special Darwin Day program, we'll discuss several examples of the "unintelligent design" of organisms, just one powerful argument against the proponents of the Intelligent Design movement.
Dr. Patricia Princehouse, the 2007 winner of the CFINO Humanism Award, teaches Evolutionary Biology and the History & Philosophy of Science at Case Western Reserve University. She co-founded two important organizations, the Ohio Citizens for Science and Help Ohio Public Education (HOPE).
