For the empathically challenged, the double negative version would be a good start.  “Don’t treat others in ways that you don’t like to be treated.”  In this case you only need to know how you don’t like to be treated. (It also has the advantage of not requiring you to proactively go out and treat others the way that you do want to be treated.)


As a fabrication of our own consciousness, our assignations of meaning are no less “real”, but since humans and the fabrications of our consciousness are routinely fraught with error, it makes sense, to me, to, sometimes, question such fabrications.
