Internships Available at CFI

May 5, 2009

Last summer several interns supported CFI staff at various Centers for Inquiry throughout North America.  At CFI Transnational in Amherst, NY, Tyler Handley (Laurier Freethought Alliance at Wilfrid Laurier University), Yunyun Liu (Students for a Non-religious Ethos at Berkeley), and Roy Natian (Bruin Alliance of Skeptics and Secularists at UCLA) were integral to the success of CFI's summer Leadership Conference.  Colin Koproske, former president of the USC Secular Alliance and current Oxford graduate student, worked at CFI New York City with Austin Dacey, CFI's representative to the United Nations, to draft position papers on the UN's stance on defamation of religion, while interns at CFI Los Angeles regularly assist the Steve Allen Theatre.

CFI is looking for two student interns to work at CFI Transnational this summer.  The internships last ten weeks, from late May through July.  Pay for the positions is $210/week, and housing is provided.

CFI New York City is also looking for one student intern to work at their Manhattan office this summer.  A modest stipend will be provided for this position.

If you are interested in applying for an internship, please e-mail .  Include a brief statement of your academic and other interests, your activities with the skeptic or humanist movements, and why interning at CFI is something you want to do.  Also, please let us know your basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, proficiency with Photoshop or InDesign, and level of basic html and design skill, as well as any other skills you would bring to the position.  Applications will be considered on a rolling basis through May 11.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the overall growth of the secular community and to strengthen your relationship with CFI!  We hope you consider joining us this summer.
