Announcing CFI’s Student Leadership Conference 2010

April 23, 2010

If you're a CFI student group leader, or if you're starting a group on your campus, we invite you to attend the CFI Student Leadership Conference 2010, to be held June 24-27 at CFI Transnational in Amherst, NY.  Celebrating the 14th anniversary of our campus outreach program, the event brings together student and community activists from across North America for a weekend packed with workshops, networking, lectures, and more.

Attendees of the 2009 CFI Leadership Conference

We are keeping the costs down to help affiliated campus groups send representatives even if they lack the resources to do so.  CFI will subsidize room and board costs for up to two students from each affiliated campus group so that the entire cost of registration, housing, and meals for the four-day event (a $200 value!) is only $99 per student.  Additional group members from that campus need only cover the cost of room and board for the event.  See the registration form for details.

A limited number of travel grants are also available to help bring students to the conference.  Please apply by June 7th to be considered for a travel grant.  Additionally, many colleges and universities provide funds to help student groups send members to training and leadership conferences, so make sure to find out what's available at your school.

What are you waiting for?  Space is limited, so register today!  Please email Debbie Goddard if you have any questions.

Would you like to help us provide travel grants to the many student group leaders who are eager to attend but who cannot afford the full cost of travel?  Please make a donation today!

The conference program begins on Thursday evening and wraps up at lunchtime on Sunday.  A schedule will be posted in the coming weeks.
