Help us bring students to the CFI Leadership Conference!
June 2, 2011
“You can see the leaders that come here, they go back, and that next year…they’re doing fantastic work, activism, community building, and all of that is ignited here.”
CFI has always known that if we are to achieve our mission of a secular society based on science, reason, free inquiry, and humanist values, we must engage young skeptics, freethinkers, and atheists NOW and help them become the leaders of tomorrow.
At the CFI Student Leadership Conference, students from across North America have the opportunity to connect with other freethinkers, skeptics, humanists, and nonbelievers, while developing the skills they need to have an impact on their campuses and in their communities. Attendees participate in workshops, presentations, and leadership training sessions, and learn the fundamentals of the movement from seasoned activists, leaders, public intellectuals, and peers.
Today we’re proud to release a video in which CFI Institute assistant Ed Beck, a former student leader of the University at Buffalo Freethinkers, gives his perspective on the unique and valuable experience attendees gain at the CFI Leadership Conference and the impact they then go on to have in their communities.
It is inspiring and I hope you take a moment to watch it.
Please consider making a donation now to help us bring more students to this year’s Leadership Conference. 100% of your donation will be used to provide travel grants to student activists and group leaders so that they can learn how to better effect change at home, and we can continue developing the next generation of secular, skeptical, and humanist leaders.
Thank you for supporting this important cause.
