EPA Declares Greenhouse Gasses as Harmful to Human Health.

Today the Environmental Protection Agency has declared what scientists have known for several years: that greenhouse gases pose a danger to human health and the environment. While this assertion may not come as a surprise, it has significant impact. Under law, the EPA has the authority to regulate harmful forms of pollution. Because CO2 and other greenhouse gasses now fall into that category, it paves the way for the EPA to set limits on the amount that businesses and other organizations can release into the environment. Additionally, it means that even if Congress does not pass some form of CO2 regulation, the United States government will have the authority to regulate greenhouse gasses.
