Take Action for Birth Control Coverage: Call HHS Secretary Price Today!

March 13, 2017

The Center for Inquiry (CFI) is joining reproductive health care organizations for a grassroots call-in day to new Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price to voice support for no-cost birth control coverage — and we need your help!

CFI strongly supports the federal rule providing for no-cost birth control coverage in insurance policies. However, the recently confirmed Secretary Price has made statements suggesting he might eliminate this coverage.

If you want to help protect birth control coverage, we urge you to join thousands of people across the United States today in calling Secretary Price!

Here’s how to take action:

  1. Call Tom Price on Monday, March 13 at 202-690-7000. If you can’t get through on that line, you can use the main HHS number: 1-877-696-6775 and hit 5 (five).
  2. Use the following script:

Hi, my name is [insert name] and I am from [State].

I am calling today because I am really concerned that Secretary Price might try to take away insurance coverage of birth control. Having no-cost birth control coverage from the health care law has been so important to me and/or others across the country. I want to make sure Secretary Price hears from me: please protect this benefit. Our health and economic security depend on it.
