Due to the Snow the meeting has been moved to Thursday the 18th of February.

It is the second Thursday of the month, and therefore time once again for our monthly meeting. in honor of Charles Darwin's birthday on the 9th of this month, our program has an evolution theme.

Our general meeting on Feb. 11 at Carnegie Science Center will feature a presentation on the hominid fossil Ardipithecus Ramidus and a discussion of its importance by our own Chuck Bobich.  Chuck is a founding member of the CFI-Pittsburgh Steering Committee and previous editor of the CFI-Pgh newsletter who currently serves as Treasurer.  Chuck has degrees in physics from Carnegie-Mellon and is a local business owner and farmer who counts ballroom dancing among his activities.  Using some serious astronomical equipment, he has occasionally conducted star parties in his backyard for CFI-Pgh.  By drawing upon his diverse interests and background, Chuck promises an interesting and entertaining experience.  The schedule starts at 7:00 PM.
