Our guest this month is Arthur Tu. Arthur received a BSc in Computer Science and Philosophy, and a MSc in Logic and Computation from Carnegie Mellon University. He worked as a technology consultant and as research staff in the learning sciences sector before starting LearnBop, an education technology company that provides web-based solutions to empower educators to seamlessly create and deliver adaptive educational content. Arthur used to sing in an a capella group, and has been an active Hip-Hop and House dancer since his junior year in college.

His presentation is described as follows: At TED 2006, Sir Ken Robinson delivered an eloquent speech entitled "Do Schools Kill Creativity?", alluding that with our current education system, we are educating children out of their creative childhood. This talk was crowned as one of the top ten TED talks in 2008, and is arguably the best TED talk on education. Four years on, Arthur is taking the opportunity to further this discussion by relating Robinson's findings to pertinent learning science findings, and contemplating whether or not we can develop a new education system to teach succeeding generations to be more creative.
