Secular Sunday School is a program geared toward kids who are between 6 and 9 years old. Children have time to play and make friends, as well as participate in fun, engaging lessons focused on three areas: science/critical thinking, comparative religion/culture, and humanism/ethics. This year we will be "traveling around the world" while we explore scientists, culture, and religions (both ancient and modern) from various countries across the globe.

Our returning organizers are Erin Mueller and Wendi Cooksey, two parents who have several years' experience in teaching science to children (from elementary through middle school).  We have two new facilitators this year as well: Melissa Lucash, a returning Sunday School parent with an extensive science background, and Chelsea Karpa, a college student who is studying to be a secondary Social Studies teacher.

The group meets twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, from 10:30 AM until 12:00 noon.  For more information, and for class location and directions, please contact the group organizer, Erin Mueller at

CFI SFN Secular Sunday School

By joining the Facebook group, you can ask questions, get to know other parents, make suggestions and give feedback, and generally take an active part in shaping our Secular Sunday School program.

Please note: There is a ONE-TIME suggested donation of $10 per child (max $20 per family), payable in cash or a check made out to Erin Mueller, to help cover the cost of materials used throughout the school year (free for Friends of the Center).  It is not a requirement to attend, but it helps to defray the costs incurred by our teachers who are working on a volunteer basis and buying all supplies out-of-pocket.
