Arts and Humanism SIG, with leader Marlene Schiller, talks all things arts, and this year they’ve been addressing some very challenging questions. On May 10, the group will discuss “Taste as the Arbiter in Public Art.” How do we choose works for public exhibition? Members will bring examples. Public art has certainly been controversial here in Tucson; here’s an opportunity to learn more. The Arts and Humanism SIG is changing their regular meeting day to the second Sunday of each month. They will meet at the northwest-side Nanini Library, 7300 N. Shannon Rd., on Sunday, May 10, 2009, from 1:30-3:30pm. New members can sign up with Sandra to receive a meeting confirmation notice and directions.
