Dren Asselmeier

Adrienne "Dren" Asselmeier is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women, a women's business center in Grand Rapids, MI. Formerly a campus organizer with Center for Inquiry, Dren got her start as an intern at Center for Inquiry-Michigan in 2008. She stayed until 2010 as a volunteer campus coordinator, and was CFI-Michigan Freethinker of the Year in 2009, as well as president of Center for Inquiry-Grand Valley State University. Dren worked in student outreach through CFI's On Campus program until 2012 when she returned to Michigan where she now lives and continues her CFI involvement as a Publicity Assistant for CFI-Michigan.
Adrienne has a B.A. in English from Grand Valley State University, is the former president of Buffalo Area Non-Profit Professionals, and has a history of volunteering with Buffalo Subversive Theatre, the Buffalo Storyteller Hour, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is currently a member of the steering committee and the marketing committee for Gazelle Girl, the midwest's first all-women's half marathon.
