Robert Talisse is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Political Science at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He holds a Ph.D. from City University of New York Graduate School. Professor Talisse has published widely on political philosophy, ethics, and American pragmatism. His current research focuses on democracy, religion in politics, and public deliberation. He is the author of many books, including Democracy After Liberalism (2005), A Pragmatist Philosophy of Democracy (2007), and Democracy and Moral Conflict (forthcoming).
