“The Second Wave of Humanism: How Scholarship Undermines Religion”
By James Dee

November 1, 2012 at 7:00pm
Dr. Dee’s lecture shows that the work of modern Biblical scholars undermines many traditional beliefs and that the "historical-critical" method of research, as applied to the Old and New Testaments, parallels the "scientific method" in ways that are significant for the future growth of the secular humanist movement.
The lecture focuses on: God, the Hebrew Bible, Jesus and the New Testament, the Resurrection, the Afterlife, and Faith.
The event is free but donations gladly accepted.
This talk is for CFI members and all interested parties.
