Join us for a fun demonstration by scientist/magician Ben Watkins: how and why our minds make so many mistakes, being open to suggestion, illusions, and ... MAGIC!
Ben’s presentation will be on what he calls the trifecta of magic, sleight of hand, misdirection, and suggestion. He will elaborate on what the audience sees and believes vs. what is actually happening
Ben Watkins has a background in hard science, having graduated from Ohio University in 1998 with a double major in marine biology and biochemistry. Ben later finished his masters degree in biology at USF in 2004. Having been a hobbyist in magic since he was eight years old, Ben started working professionally in 2003, mostly doing birthday parties. He is currently managing partner of:
