Our August program will feature our CFI – NE Ohio president, Monette Richards, on the intriguing topic of “How to be a Nobody and Still Get Shit Done!” That talk is Mon., Aug. 4, starting at 7 p.m. She will give the same talk at a humanist conference in Pittsburgh in September.
Monette will talk about how the “under-accomplished” can be the movers and shakers. In our secular movement, a strong emphasis is placed on being an academic, or starting a blog network, or creating your own organization.  What if you haven’t done any of that? What if you never went to college? What if you aren’t an over-achiever or a go-getter? What if being up front is what scares you? Is there still a part for you to play to help our movement? Whether you are a tiny fish in a little pond, or a jelly fish in an ocean, you can still “get shit done.”
