Exhibit Opening for Artist Kenneth Payne
Exhibit Opening for Artist Kenneth Payne - Thursday, March 12, 7:00 pm
Goddesses, Lonely Hearts, and Pragmatic Devils
"We reveal our personal histories and emotional states of mind through the language of our movement and our posture. Through a lifetime of learned habitual gestures, our bodies betray who we are and send a powerful message of our physiological well-being. We are the mirrors of our fortune, good and bad. I translate these histories in my sculpture. I take personal histories and give them a universal tongue."
Kenneth Payne is a professor in the fine arts department at Buffalo State College, specializing in sculpture. He received an MFA from the University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee) in 1981. His work has been exhibited around the world in such places as Israel, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Iran, and across the United States.
There will be live entertainment and complimentary hors d'oeuvres .
This exhibit will be open from March 12th until June 2009.
